Caleb Harris is a low brass multi-instrumentalist, clinician, and private instructor based in the Atlanta Metro Area. He recently completed his Master’s in Music Performance from Columbus State University under the tutelage of Dr. Alex Avila. In 2020, Mr. Harris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Minor in Entrepreneurship from Valdosta State University under the instruction of Drs. Danny Rowland, Charlie Goodman, and Doug Farwell.
At Columbus State University, he served as a graduate assistant for the Schwob Winds and as the principal euphonium of the Schwob Wind Ensemble. On trombone, Mr. Harris has performed multiple times with the world renowned Schwob Trombone Ensemble, including a recent performance at the 2022 GMEA Conference.
At Valdosta State University, Mr. Harris was the principal euphonium of the Valdosta State University Wind Ensemble, performed on trombone with both Jazz Ensembles, and marched in the “Blazin' Brigade.”
Among other accomplishments, Mr. Harris has won the following honors: 2nd Place in the Artist Euphonium Competition at the 2022 South Eastern Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference, 3rd Place in the 2021 Artist Euphonium Competition at the Leonard Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, and 3rd Place in the 2017 Young Artist Euphonium Competition at the South Eastern Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference.
