Violin

Ms. Sun was a Graduate Assistant at Columbus State University. Ms. Sun was appointed Concertmaster of Xi’an Conservatory of Music from 2014- 2017. In Nov. 2016, Ms. Sun participated in the American Julia Music Festival held in Suzhou City as a full scholarship winner under guidance of Ms. Renee Jolle. Later this year, she was an associate concertmaster and participated in the New Year Concert of Shaanxi Province on Dec 31, 2017. Notably, Ms. Sun was appointed as the concertmaster of Xi’an Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, for the Ministry of Culture of People’s Republic of China sponsored “The 11th China Art Festival” opening concert. Ms. Sun has six more years of experience in music instruction and has her own private studio in Xi’an China and San Francisco. One of her students won a second-class award in the 2019 Hong Kong International String Competition.

Born in Henan, China. Ms. Sun began studying the violin at age four with her uncle. In 2012, went to Beijing to continue study with a professor of Central Conservatory of Music. At age 20, she was accepted by Xi’an Conservatory of Music with the top score admitted. As a freshman student, she represented the school to participate in the Golden Bell Award of China for Music and was shortlisted.

In 2018, Ms. Sun continued her path towards becoming a professional violinist with scholarship to San Francisco Conservatory of music, studying with Telegraph Quartet member Joseph Maile. Then continued her studies under the tutelage of Sergiu Schwartz in Schwob School of Music for Artist Diploma.
